The Money Behind These Pages

Every booking link on this site opens the live tour listing and carries a partner tag inside it. Each of the 26 tours, classes and tastings compared here is sold through that same booking channel, and nothing is sold directly by us. When you book after following one of those links, the platform pays us a share of the commission it already collects from the operator. Your price does not move: the $17.42 cellar tasting and food pairing and the $418.09 full-day Ferrari and food itinerary both cost exactly what they would cost if you had opened the listing on your own, because our share comes out of the platform's existing margin rather than being added on top.

One further link on this site works differently. Our free-activity page names a real, free, pay-what-you-want walking tour listed on GuruWalk, an independent walking-tour platform we do not operate and are not affiliated with. That link carries a referral code. GuruWalk does not set a fixed ticket price: at the end of the walk you pay the guide whatever you think it was worth, and nothing about that changes based on whether you clicked the link here or found the same tour directly on guruwalk.com. Outside those booking platforms and that one GuruWalk link, there is no third partner. Display ads, sponsored posts and paid reviews are all absent. Should a further network join at any point, it will be named here and in the footer disclosure first, so no link goes live unannounced.

Paid Links, And Everything That Is Not

A booked tour is one way to eat well in this city, and often a very good one, but it is far from the only way. The stalls of the central market are there on ordinary mornings whether or not anyone has booked anything through us. A plate of tortellini at a trattoria you reserve yourself, a glass of lambrusco ordered at a counter, an afternoon spent wandering from Piazza Grande toward the market with no plan at all: none of it sends anything our way. The only thing that can ever earn us a commission is a tour or class booked through one of our links. Ratings and review counts printed on this site are copied from the live listing and checked more than once. We do not blend numbers from different platforms, round them in our favor, or fill gaps with estimates; when a figure could not be confirmed it simply does not appear. Where you see one, it is a current from-price, the cheapest option on that listing at the time it was read, spanning $17.42 to $418.09 across the twenty-six. What you actually pay shifts with the date, the option you choose, the group size and any add-ons. The live booking page is always the authority. Restaurant price bands mentioned anywhere on this site work the same way: a mid-range trattoria such as Il Santo Bevitore sits in the moderate band because sources place it there, not because anyone quoted us a menu.

Booking Without This Site In The Chain

You can book every tour on this site without us sitting anywhere in the chain. Copy the tour name, paste it into a search engine, and reserve straight through the operator or the live booking page you find on your own. Nothing here is gated behind our links, from the Cavedoni cellar visit to the Ferrari-and-food full days. What we want is simpler: that you leave Modena having tasted real balsamic, good Lambrusco and proper tortelloni, however you arrange it.
