Privacy Policy

This site is a set of static pages. There are no accounts, no logins, no comment boxes and no forms of any kind, and nothing is paid for here, so the amount of information involved is small to begin with.

Information Gathered

When analytics runs, it counts visits in aggregate: which pages were read, a rough idea of where the visit came from, the device type, and which listing links were clicked. That last measurement matters most here. It answers one practical question: did this page help someone choose between a balsamic cellar tasting at an old acetaia and a full walking meal through Modena, or between a tortellini cooking class and a Lambrusco cellar visit? Usefulness is the only thing being tested. No individual is identified. Names, email addresses and payment details are never stored, because the site never asks for them and has nothing to sell you directly.

Cookies And Outside Parties

Analytics runs on cookies of its own. Embedded maps work differently: the content loads from the provider's servers as the page renders, and whatever that provider then sets is governed by its privacy policy rather than this one.

Choosing a tour takes you to the live booking page run by the operator or platform behind it. From that point on, their cookies manage the session and note the referral source. Those trackers answer to the provider's privacy rules, not to anything written here, and the same holds for the website of any winery, caseificio or cooking school you might browse next. Who gets paid, and by whom, is explained plainly on the disclosure page.

What We Never Do

• Trade, rent out or pass on your data to anybody.
• We run no ad networks here, no retargeting pixels, and no advertising cookies dropped by outside companies.
• Ask for or keep your email address. There is no newsletter and no account to sign up for.
• Handle money or bookings in any form. Reserve your balsamic tasting or parmigiano dairy visit through the live booking page of the operator concerned, where your card details and confirmation both remain. This site never sees either one.
• Run a contact form of any kind. The contact page gives you a simple mailto link instead, so your message goes straight from your own mail program to ours with nothing recorded along the way.

Hosting

A third-party hosting company serves these pages and keeps routine server logs, IP addresses included, to guard against abuse. Those logs are never examined to work out who you are or to match a reader with the restaurant guides they opened.

Your Choices

You stay in control the whole time. A browser's tracking protection, an ad blocker, or a Do Not Track header will keep the analytics script from loading, and every page keeps working as normal when that happens. Disabling scripts entirely is a further step you can take, since the tour write-ups, the category pages and the price notes all render their complete text anyway, the mobile menu being the only exception. Prefer to leave no cookie behind at all? Copy the name of any tour, say the Cavedoni vinegar visit or the Tortellini cooking class, and paste it into a search on the live booking page yourself.
